As I write these words, Quality Improvement Teams are busy throughout the district. Y2K promises to be a year filled with exciting challenges and a renewed dedication on the part of our employees to better serve the people of Broward County.

This Holiday Season, I am grateful to the employees of District Ten who raised more than $15,500 for the Florida State Employees' Charitable Campaign.

Also, other colleagues, alongside community volunteers and foster parents, gathered enough toys to fill a warehouse and spent the days before Christmas handing the presents to foster children whose Letters to Santa were matched to the toys and other presents collected -- click here to see photos.
